Our School

Eastdale C.V.I. serves students in grades 9-12 in Oshawa, Ontario.  The enrollment of our school averages 1000 students.  The school respectfully acknowledges the land in which we teach, learn and live as this territory is the ancestral and traditional land to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island.

Our school strives for high academic success as we engage and challenge our students.  We endeavour to engage our students through a variety of opportunities both in and out of the classrooms.  Every year our Eastdale Theatre Company (ETC) puts on a phenomenal production for our feeder schools and for the community.  Eastdale provides opportunity for international travel each year (Greece 2020) as part of our travel club.  The students involved in leadership have an opportunity to travel to an amazing 3-day camp experience.  In addition, there are many other experiential learning opportunities provided within the curriculum of our courses as well as through those opportunities provided within our sports teams, clubs and committees.

Eastdale is committed to providing an innovative learning experience in an integrated, respectful and engaging environment.  Our guidance, student success, and inclusive education programs deliver additional support for our students’ mental health and well-being in partnership with our community partners.  In addition, Eastdale is proud to be one of 3 Oshawa schools opening a youth hub in the 2019-2020 school year.  With these opportunities, we strive to make Eastdale a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all.
